RESPONSIBILITIES
A. OVERVIEW
The translator’s main responsibility will be to translate company annual reports, highly restricted Board and shareholders’ material, legal and regulatory documents, financial reports, summaries, and any other documents as requested from the various businesses and functions in finance industry.
B. DUTIES
1. Impact on the Business/Function:
- Provide an accurate translation of the requested documents from English to Vietnamese within the given regulatory timeframe for further submission.
- Provide translation of regulatory instructions, circulars, and regulations from Vietnamese to English.
- Translate any documents required by the business from either Vietnamese to English or vice versa.
2. Customers / Stakeholders:
- Provide support to the business functions in translating various documents.
3. Operational Effectiveness & Control:
- Ensure that the original meaning of the translated documents is by way of high-quality translation.
- Undertake ad hoc projects as and when required.
- Ensure strict confidentiality in adherence of information security given the nature of documents.
REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Working knowledge/ translation skills in professional business, commercial, financial, and legal terminology in both English and Vietnamese language.
- Ability to work under pressure and adherence to deadlines.
- Good general knowledge and up-to-date economic, banking, and finance knowledge.
- Excellent spoken and written English and Vietnamese.
- Professional use of MS office.
- Financial background is preferable.
