RESPONSIBILITIES
- To strategize, develop, and manage longrange buying financial plans that support the company’s buying financial targets and brand strategies.
- To plan revenue, gross margin amount and unit forecast on an annual basis.
- Independently capture and apply deep understanding of market competitors (target consumer, market positioning, and markdown activities) to drive improved performanceacross all planning responsibilities, from strategy to in-season management.
- Assist with pre-booking (ranking styles and suggesting estimated units to book in advance of market)
- Lead development of pre-season strategies and approve seasonal sales and inventory plans that supports brand objectives and customer financial sales and margin targets.
- Visit and analyze stores to improve investment and flow strategies based on inventory levels, stock capacity, visual layout and other key components analysis and preparation of competitive market trend information and customer feedback.
- Analysis and preparation of sales reports.
- Help identify both shared and individual market needs.
- Responsible for capturing visuals of landed lines by market at adoption and archiving them.
- Recommend suggested retail pricing for franchise and wholesale customers down to the style level for assigned categories; ensure the margin targets are achieved.
- Partner with marketing and visual merchandising to communicate seasonal direction for a given season.
- Work with visual to create effective store presentations.
- Assist with training the sales team to present and sell products during market week.
REQUIREMENTS
1. General:
- At least 5 years of experience of merchandising for international brand – same position.
- Dynamic & positive.
- Leadership.
2. Knowledge, skills and abilities:
- Good understanding of retail business, product knowledge and understanding of brand positioning.
- Posses a clear understanding of financial measurements and how to impact them.
- Retail math skills necessary to understand financial results of performance measures.
- Ability to do product costing.
- Experience with gross margin, pricing and trend analysis.
- Proven leadership and communication skills.
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to influence all levels of management and staff.
- Must have high sense of urgency with demonstrated ability to work independently and make effective decisions in a timely manner.
- Allocates time effectively, handles multiple demands and competing priorities.
- High styling sense.
- Excellent in communication both English & Vietnamese.
- Market/ customer insight.
3. Schedule requirement:
- Ability to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the business; may require weekends and evening shifts. Overnights may be required.
- Travelling -store to store and buying travel.
- Should have planning and training skills / work on detailing.
- Always available for travelling.
