RESPONSIBILITIES

• The economist will assist Chief Economist in production of range of publications of Economics department of company.
• He/She will be responsible for collection, analysis, interpretation of data and writing reports on macro economic topics including FX and Rates.
• Economic forecasting using econometric techniques.
• Analyze and interpret complex datasets.
• Create and update database through processing, analyzing and interpreting relevant information.
• Produce external reports of the highest standard in terms of content and quality and produce internal reports to assist senior management and other departments on topics as assigned.
• Perform tasks and analysis based on input received from the Chief Economist.
• Preparing presentations and material in collaboration with PR and IR departments for Conferences &
• Events, Press Releases and other publications.

REQUIREMENTS

• Master’s Degree in Economics and Finance.
• 7-8 years of work experience as an economist in a large financial institution, preferably MNC.
• Understanding of global and Asian economies and markets.
• Strong expertise in writing Macro Economic and Research reports.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills.
• Demonstrable excellence in oral and writing skills.
• In-depth knowledge of research databases e.g. Bloomberg. Proficient in MS-Word, MS-Excel and MS-PowerPoint.
