RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Duty

  • Responsible to lead and strengthen the commercial division which comprises of Retail (JV & Franchisees), Wholesale and Retail Training. To formulate key commercial initiatives to achieve business objectives of sales, brand and customer service. Role is responsible for the full P&L of Retail & Wholesale.

2. Responsibilities

  • Develop Retail and Wholesale strategies and set priorities to achieve company long term goal – to become the Top 3 global athletic brand.
  • Formulate strong sales and distribution footprint through retail expansion & management and key accounts distribution network.
  • Manages the full Retail & Wholesale P&L
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing Key Accounts and coach team to identify and acquire additional business opportunities.
  • Maintain updated knowledge of the marketplace, competitors/customers and trends and apply to advance retail and wholesale business performance.
  • Elevate customer service and branding through robust retail training & customer service management to distinguish our brand and products from competitors.
  • Ensure both Retail & Wholesale regularly analyze and review the sales and other KPIs with rigor. Proactively plan actions to close any financial/KPI gaps.
  • Translates the strategic goals into retail operational plans to achieve sales and profit targets and growth; identifies and optimizes promotional opportunities ensuring these are coordinated with wider promotions and campaigns.
  • Building a strong sales management culture in both Retail & Wholesale teams.
  • Work with Retail Manager or Operations Manager to implement solid retail operational standards, customer service standards, visual standards according to regional standards.
  • Work with Wholesale Manager to ensure use of sales reports to manage and grow the distribution business.
  • Ensures all new shop proposals meet the required return on sales prior to submitting recommendations to the Managing Director; all new shop locations must be visited to ensure they will trade effectively and meet the proposed budgets.
  • Collaborate with marketing and merchandise to improve store and wholesale profitability. For instance, retail -to create and implement initiatives to attract new customers, increase store traffic, and improve store profitability; Wholesales -ensure brand is appropriately represented and positioned at the buyer’s retail platform.
  • Collaborate with HR to ensure various teams embrace the Company’s Values and build a strong team culture and in Retail JV and Wholesale.
  • Performance and development of people and talents in Retail and Wholesale.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Retail Management, Business or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of experience in retail performance management preferably within Sport, fashion and beauty industry.
  • Ability to bring across strategies and other complex concept to audience in verbal or written communication.
  • Strong P&L Management knowledge and skills
  • Proven strong track record of achieving sustaining sales growth and profitability under challenging market conditions.
  • Ability to collaborate with own team and cross functions to achieve win-win results.
  • Ability to engage and motivate individual and teams.
  • Good command of English is required to interact with regional stakeholders.
