RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Prepare sales and purchase contract basis trade confirmation sent by traders.
  • Prepare proforma invoice to the buyer for sales that required deposits.
  • Liaise with agents, buyers, and sellers on shipment schedules and requirements for bulk and container booking.
  • Nominate shipment/trucks to shippers when buyer declares to us shipping documents prepared by contract terms and LC requirement.
  • Liaise with bankers for the financing requirement for import and export collection, as well as LC terms shipments.
  • Prepare payment voucher for daily payment together with additional info on shipment related to those invoices in tabular format.
  • Keep a record of the sugar execution spreadsheet daily for physical shipments and future spreads.
  • Assist traders to oversee contracts allocation.
  • Dealing with logistics issues with liners and carriers for containers shipment.
  • Dealing with vessel agents for bulk vessel-related matters.
  • Follow-up account receivables on current and past shipments.
  • Prepare laytime calculations according to Contract terms and charter party.
  • Prepare month-end closing data for relevant sales and purchases in tabular format, together with invoices and title documents for the accounts dept.
  • Keep the records of futures transactions and reconcile them with brokers’ statements.
  • Confirm the final prices with sellers/buyers based on pricing done with our brokers.
  • Cover marine insurance for those shipments done under CIF incoterms.
  • All other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.ll other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Diploma holder and above (other qualifications can be considered)
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience preferably with good experience and knowledge in bulk shipments, Letters of Credit, documentation, sales/purchase contracts, laytime calculations, Charter Party terms, etc.
  • Commodity experience.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel & Word)
  • Must be able to work under tight deadlines with minimum supervision.
  • Logical, analytical.
  • Diligent and able to perform under high pressure in a fast-paced working environment.
  • Meticulous and ability to multitask.
  • Hardworking, good interpersonal skills, details orientated and team player.
