RESPONSIBILITIES
A. STRATEGY
1. Develop strategies, develop, implement management and develop financial market products in line with the financial market business strategy for the following products:
- Core foreign exchange products of the financial market: Spot, FX, Swap.
- New financial market products include Interest rate derivatives, commodity price derivatives, carbon credits.
- Business operations of Valuable Papers & operations related to currencies, interest rate derivatives such as FRA, Cap/Floor and Collar depending on the market situation of each period.
2. Responsible for developing digitalization for current systems related to the foreign exchange market including the internal management system of the Front Office, the branch management system, the management system for Customers:
- Digitize core foreign exchange products (Spot, Forward, Swap)
- Develop digitalization of new financial market products such as interest rate derivatives, commodity price derivatives, carbon credits.
3. Develop operational criteria in line with product structure:
- Responsible for developing & managing operational processes, proposing solutions, making progress reports, periodically reporting, and reporting problems (if any) to competent authorities (when necessary).
- Support business activities including foreign exchange trading, derivative trading (commodities, interest rates, exchange rates, etc.) related to transactions including both market 1 and market 2.
- Coordinate with the Director of Financial Markets and Business Managers in the Center to develop strategies & product orientations in line with the business strategy of the Financial Market Center & FMTB Block with the goal of bringing the Bank’s position to the top 10 banks in the financial market and some products will lead the market.
- Develop specific action plans for each product in line with the business plan of the Director of Financial Markets.
- Develop/digitize online dealing systems for core foreign exchange products for corporate and individual customers. Develop management systems applicable to new products in line with business strategy with the goal of bringing the bank’s position to the top 10 banks in the financial market and some products will lead the market.
B. LEADERSHIP
- Build and manage a team of financial market product development senior specialists/ experts.
- Ensure that staff are satisfied with the working environment and have a long-term commitment to the Bank.
- Set specific annual goals and plans for product senior specialists/experts.
C. PRODUCT CAPABILITIES
- Identify and evaluate market conditions and customer needs to develop strategies, solutions, products and services for each customer segment to conduct business and ensure compliance with procedures, regulations and authorities.
- Continuously grasp changes in market information, thereby providing flexible solutions and products according to market fluctuations.
- Regularly monitor system functions to upgrade the system to suit customer needs and market trends
Tightly control operational risks related to products
- Ensure that the bank is always updated with the latest products on the market & meets the specific requirements of customers
- Propose appropriate solutions to each customer segment of the bank
- Propose tailor-made product structure options to suit the characteristics of each customer related to financial market products
- Develop topics, products, participate in partner evaluation, deploy, and build processes for financial market products (FM products)
D. MARKET COVERAGE
- Build and maintain networks with partners, departments in charge of financial market products at other financial institutions if any
- Coordinate with other departments to develop new financial market products suitable for the market and customer needs.
- Maintain good relationships with external partners and departments of the Bank to have the best coordination to facilitate the development of financial market products and digitalization.
- Participate in seminars related to financial market products or product trends
E. QUALITY AND COMPLIANCE ASSURANCE
- Regularly update compliance requirements for financial market products from market information, competitors and seek internal QA advice. Ensure early warning of potential risks regarding product effectiveness and product compliance to ensure safety in the bank’s financial market business operations.
- There are no violations of compliance with the compliance requirements of the State Bank and the Bank’s internal.
F. CORPORATE CULTURE
- Build a cohesive and mutually supportive team among employees in the department, between the financial market product and digitalization department, internal departments in the Block and the entire bank.
- Build a working culture and coordination, mutual support to members in the department.
REQUIREMENTS
1. Educational Qualifications:
- University degree in Finance, Economics, Banking.
2. Knowledge/ Expertise:
- Have professional qualifications and experience in capital and foreign exchange of the financial market;
- Have in-depth understanding of financial market products;
- Have in-depth understanding of limits applied to the financial market;
- Have understanding of legal regulations for financial market operations;
3. Skills:
- Skills in building and planning strategies.
- Leadership, orientation and influence skills.
- Team building, management and development skills.
- Have a keen sense of work, work independently with high intensity or in a group.
- Flexible in handling situations, problem solving, creativity, etc.
4. Relevant Experience:
- Have at least 10 years of experience in the financial market operations sector, possibly Frontline or Treasury Back Office; priority given to Treasury Back office personnel; Experience from strong international banks in financial services is preferred.
- At least 10 years of experience in Treasury Front or Treasury Back office management.
- Experience in developing and implementing financial market product management system development projects.
- Experience in investing and managing all financial market systems, including Trading systems, Back end, trader limit management and customer limit management.
5. Other Related Competencies:
